Step 1 - Introductions and Initial Research
- 1. Start communications with our development team via e-mail, phone and/or website
- 2. Fill out application
- 3. Receive and review our Franchise Disclosure Document
(2-3 months)
Step 2 - Complete Due Diligence
- 1. Talk to existing franchisees about their experience as an SBC franchisee
- 2. Visit stores
- 3. Complete your business plan
- 4. Review business plan with external financial sources and advisors
- 5. Seattle’s Best Coffee to complete credit check and financial validation
(1 week)
Step 3 - Final Approval and launch
- 1. Review final Franchise Agreement
- 2. Visit Seattle for Discovery Days and meet the leadership team.
- 3. Sign Franchise Agreement
(4 months)
Step 4 - Find a Great Site
- 1. Engage approved Real Estate Broker (1 week).
- 2. Identify 3-5 "pre-qualified" sites (3 weeks).
- 3. SBC to conduct site tour in market and approve sites (1 week).
- 4. Conduct lease negotiations (2-3 months).
(6-7 months)
Step 5 - Build, Train and Open!
- 1. Build your store (20-26 weeks).
- 2. Conduct Grand Opening Plan (1 week).
- 3. Train for your Grand Opening (at least 2 weeks).
- 4. Grand Opening!!!
